cricket's first haircut

Cricket's hair has been a bit of a conversation piece from the day he was born.  He had some crazy wild baby hair, then it kind of just stood straight up all over his head for a few months.  For a while now, it's had a bit more texture to it, so I've been able to make it lay down.  He grew the most precious curls on the back of his head and, even though it was a bit longer than I wanted it to be, I just couldn't bring myself to get it cut.

But Grasshopper was needing one, too, so we decided to just do it all at once.

Here's both boys before we left the house.

One last shot of Cricket before she started cutting.
Such a big boy!
He eventually got restless, so she let him play with one of her brushes.

And then it was Hopper's turn.  He was much more figity than his baby brother!  I know that they are different people, but it still amazes me how different they are!  I never imagined that my boys would be on opposite ends of every spectrum, but they most certainly are!
And of course he had to play with the brush, too.  Equal rights, you know.  :)

By then it was nap time, so Cricket was getting pretty grumpy, but we had to get a picture of him with Connie.  And see the girl in the background?  That's Connie's sister, who looks ex-act-ly like her.
Terrible picture, but look at him, all grown up! I miss his curls, but I'm so thankful for the "big boy" he's growing up to be!  I know the Lord has big plans for him, and I pray that he gives Him his heart at an early age, and that he'll live his life for Him and His glory!
